Department of Statistics
Statistic deaprtment is one of the old deaprtment of M.B.Patel Science College,ANAND.the subject statistics was taught at S.Y.B.Sc level till 1978.but the principal Shri N.D.Desai of M.B.Patel Science Collage,ANAND(Was a man of Statistics) has started teaching statistics as principle subject at T.Y.B.Sc in 1979 from the beginning of this deaprtment Mr S.J.Shroff was the only man teaching statistics as well as mathematics since 1972.Then Shri N.D.Desai was heading the college as principal.He was main person to strat teaching as principal subject in 1979
As a consequence Mr C.C.PATEL was appointed as fulltime lecturer in Statistics,the post was purley temporary.in the beginning of the deaprtment there were only four student viz.
